The Nouveau is made from the following three parcels. Each of these parcels produces exceptional Gamay.
– Corcelles: A wonderful vineyard that Christophe acknowledges the quality every year.
– Chapelle de Guinchay: This vineyard used to be owned by the late Jules Chauvet.
– Lantignie: This is a “mirage” village that was supposed to be the 11th Cru de Beaujolais.
Each of the grapes from these parcels is vinified separately. Cold carbonic maceration in whole bunches without SO2 with indigenous yeasts. Fruity bouquet of cherry, blueberry, or blackberry are supported by generous acidity and minerals. In addition, elements of old vines add an umami flavor to the silky texture. The true beauty of Gamay can only be shown through natural viticulture.
