Anima Mundi Pells
Orange wine from 100% Macabeo, but light and delicate due to thin skins and delicate maceration. Beautifully subtle, lightly oxidative tropical fruit on the nose, spherical but energetic on the palate. Deliciously drying texture, but due to its minerality rather than its tannin. Finish is exceedingly fresh and salty, absolutely delicious. 82 day skin-contact.
Companya Viticola Sileo ‘Sileo’ 2018
A deep but bright wine full of red and black cherries and strawberries backed by subtle notes of smoke, tar, and coffee. Well-integrated tannins and beautifully driving acidity make this a prime example of delicate and digestible Garnacha from limestone, clay and granite soils. Hand-harvest, fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 18 days. Maturation on the lees in French oak 500 liter barrels for 9 months.
Companya Viticola Sileo ‘Costers de Cornudella’ 2018
Garnatxa and Samso (Carignan) from 20-80 year old high altitude vineyards with cooling influence from the Pyrenees. Hand-harvest, 50% whole-bunch fermentation and aging in some new and some old oak barrels and amphora. Extremely delicate and fruit-forward expression of the grapes, light in the glass and brimming with red cherries, raspberries and a very subtle more savoury note of coffee and spice. On the palate very fluid and refreshing, but not without warmth. Delicate tannins that will soften up in the coarse of time, beautiful wine that’s only going to get better.
