Bonnardot Pommard 2019

Pommard just south of Beaune is one of the most famous appellations in Burgundy. Only red from Pinot Noir is made here. The Pommard of Bonnardots plot is a demarcated Clos, centrally located on the hill at 310 meters.

Technical specifications:

Soil: stony clay-limestone soil

Exposition: Southwestern

Vineyards: 50 to 35 year old canes; 0.47 ha

Vinification: Hand harvested and sorted. Classic vinfication, partly whole clusters fermentation with a long maceration time.

Education: 12 months on barrique. The wine is bottled without any filtration after natural sedimentation.

Tasting note:

Beautiful transparent nose, very refined and elegant. The cedar wood gives luxury and seductiveness. Beautifully juicy and slender and already so accessible. This is only going to get better, judging by the beautiful length. Tiny tart cherries tingle on the tongue and a beautiful salinity lingers on.
