Hand-harvested Carignan and Cinsault from 50-year-old vines, 15-day maceration and natural fermentation without additions, 12 months aging in barrel, bottled unfiltered with less than 20 mg/l of sulfites.
Domaine Marc Kreydenweiss (Le Sud)
In 1999 Alsatian icon Marc Kreydenweiss purchased two neighboring domains in Manduel (Costieres de Nimes). He had the ambition to apply his biodynamic know-how to a Southern terroir and make red wines from old vine Carignan and Cinsault. In 2007 Marc moved there permanently, leaving his son Antoine to run the domain in Alsace.
