The Basic Wine Course at Chabrol Wines is the best way for beginners to learn about wine! In four lessons we will take you on a tour of the most important wine regions, grapes and wine styles. We will discuss all the basics of winemaking and drinking, including classic wine-food combinations and common wine errors.
However, the most important part of the wine course is: wine tasting! By tasting wine together we calibrate our palette and learn to distinguish and assess its most important aspects.

Advanced Course SDEN3
If you want to delve deeper into the world of wine, you can follow the advanced course based on which you can take the national exam for the wine certificate. This course consists of 8 lessons.
The Wine Certificate is primarily a recognized diploma for those who work in the beverage sector. But also wine lovers who want to know even more about wine often sign up for the Wine Certificate. In most cases, this wine course consists of eight evenings that extensively discuss viticulture, winemaking, wine countries and regions, grape varieties and wine-food combinations. The most important thing in this course is learning to taste wines, usually 60 to 70 wines that are analyzed and discussed in an expert manner. It is very nice to learn to recognize the different breeds and to know where they usually come from. The course material includes many “wine facts” and must be well studied to have a chance to get this diploma. With this diploma you can certainly give good advice to wine trade and hospitality customers.
LEVEL 2 & 3 WSET COURSE
Level 2 Beginners English wine course
WSET’s Level 2 Award in Wines is a beginner- to intermediate-level qualification exploring wines, suitable for industry professionals and wine enthusiasts.
This qualification is intended for beginners wishing to learn about a wide range of wines or those seeking to build on the introductory knowledge gained with the WSET Level 1 Award in Wines. You’ll gain knowledge of the principal and regionally important grape varieties of the world, the regions in which they are grown, and the styles of wine they produce. Through a combination of tasting and theory, you’ll explore the factors that impact style and quality and learn how to describe these wines with confidence.
A clear and strong base course with richly illustrated theory, and at least 6 appropriate wines to be tasted each lesson, will be given in 7 evenings of +/_ 3 hours, followed by the exam.
CLASSES & TASTING
Starting with theory, in class the tasting of wine will get a lot of attention.
Using the Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine from the WSET, one learns the basics of quality in wine and how to recognize it.
Helping you to find out and understand which wine style or grape variety you prefer, making choices easier buying wine in restaurants and wineshops.
LEVEL 3 WINE COURSE
Level 3 Advanced course English wine course
The more experienced winetaster who already knows about wine and is in search of a more structural, in depth wine knowledge and systematic wine tasting technique.
The course will take you through the vineyard and wine cellars and explains the vini and viti culture techniques, tasting appropriate premium wines and visit the most important wine regions of the world.
With the famous Systematic Approach to Tasting of the WSET analytical tasting is intensively practiced to learn to assess the quality and style of the tasted wines.
Although this Level 3 course is the seemless follow up of the Level 2 course, one can attend this course also with otherwise aquired knowledge, in terms of tasting experience and/or other courses.
In this elaborate course of 12 evenings of +/- 3 hours the following subjects will be treated;
- Important aspects if viticulture.
- Important aspects of vinification and its techniques.
- An elaborate tasting of premium wines and a vast quantity of grape varieties.
- The most important wines and wine regions of the world.
- Sparkling and Fortified wines.
