The coolest parcels (exposed to the north, right on the edge of the forest, deep loamy loess soil) are among their future sites for Grüner Veltliner. After fermentation in large wooden barrels, the wine is matured on the lees until autumn and bottled unfiltered. The wine is tight-knit, earthy, powerful, and ripe, with a cool, mineral vein, very vital and lively. Arguably more for classicists than the super-ripe Kalkvogel. Beautiful balance and fluidity. Very persistent and gorgeous.
