Vinification
Uncertified organic viticulture, heat management, and stimulation of biodiversity through agroforestry. Different plots of old vines on silty, clayey or stoney soils over a limestone base. Mourvedre, Grenache, Cinsault, Carignan, manual harvest. Aged in foudre for 18 months.
Domaine la Suffrène
Domaine la Suffrène is a family estate in La Cadière-d’Azur, Provence. The old coastal vineyards have been family-owned for over a hundred years, but it was Fortuné Pichon who expanded the domain to a serious operation. In fact, in doing so he became one of the pioneers of the now-famous ‘Bandol’ appellation. Pichon’s grandson, Cédric Gravier, took over the farm in 1996 and built the cellar as it exists today.
