The Herout Family from Auvers has been producing organic and unpasteurized ciders since 1946. The biodiversity, the schiste and granite soils, 25 local apple varieties and variations on fermentation makes their ciders, pommeau and calvados unique.
The labels are as stylish and elegant as the the juice in the bottle. But this is cidre with a history. Their approach is much more as wine making. The work in the field and in the cellars are meticulous. The terroir is expressive and the juice is lively and exuberant.
