Werther Windisch
Jens Windisch is a talented young grower who makes humbly delicious wines at his family’s mixed farm in the hilly part of Rheinhessen. Through hard artisanal work with a focus on strict pruning, stimulating old vines and side-stepping systemic use of synthetics, Jens is able to craft beautiful wines from the less-than-stellar terroirs of his native Mommenheim.
The white Bacchus/Silvaner/Müller-Thurgau blend and the entry-level Spatburgunder are consistent favourites among our private and horeca customers alike, and some of the best around-and-under-10 selections on our shelves.
