Athénaïs de Béru Beaujolais ‘AmalGamay’ 2019

26.41

Interesting Gamay and Aligote blend, vivid expression where creative freedom meets the breath of the land. Wild strawberries and sun-ripened raspberries pop up, with hints of rosehip and a gentle trace of herbs lingering in the background. On the palate, bright, juicy fruit dances with lively acidity, while the tannins are whisper-soft, allowing the wine to glide effortlessly across the tongue. Light but plenty of depth, finishes with a touch of balsamic.

Gamay from Beaujolais: Whole bunches. Fermented in a wooden vat. Soft extraction, light pumping over and punching down.

Aligoté from Saint Bris: Long pressing with whole bunches. Blending during fermentation. Total maceration for 2-3 weeks. Vatting in Burgundy barrels of several wines. Aged for 12-18 months. Neither filtered nor fined.
