The vineyards are located in Chassagne on a sloping hill near the Abbey of Morgeot. The plot is at an altitude of 227 meters. Chassagne-Montrachet naturally produces the region’s most sought-after white wines, along with Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault.

Technical specifications

Soil: Calcareous clay soil

Exposition: Southeast

Vineyards: 10 year old vines; 0.6 ha

Vinification: Manually harvested and sorted. Prolonged, gentle press of whole clusters. Fermentation in barrel, without sulphite or other additives.

Maturation: 18 months on barrique.

Taste note

The wine was only just bottled when tasted and still a bit wild. Very giving though. The ripe yellow apple fruit is inviting. This is a bit rustic, but after a few months, this is a generous and powerful glass. Already very convincing.
