Château Dompierre
“A chateau that can easily compete with the greatest ones of Bordeaux,” is how Rex of Chabrol describes the chateau Dompierre from Pauillac home of Michel Aroldi, a longtime friend. Pauillac is one of the most famous appellations in the Médoc. From this village come no less than eight crus classés, three of which are the highest classification in Bordeaux (grand crus). Wines from this area are known for their refined and powerful, tannic wines that can age particularly well. The parcels of Aroldi are located between Château Latour and Château Léoville Las Cases: the very best area of Pauillac.
Michel Aroldi was born in Libourne in 1959 and learned to make wine in Saint-Émilion. Raised in the French countryside, he knows better than anyone how to work the land. Aroldi worked for a long time in Fronsac at Château Plain-Point, near his native land, where he proved himself to be a talented winemaker.
After working here for twenty years, Michel sold his domain to a Chinese investor and settled in Pauillac. Michel likes to say that this territory allows for the best alchemy between man and nature. And you can taste that! His wines are powerful and pure. The lover of a characterful and elegant Bordeaux wine has come to the right place. Aroldi’s wines have amazed connoisseurs and Bordeaux fans with their finesse and excellent value for money.
