Price-wise an ‘entry-level’ Chinon, but concentration suggests otherwise. Delicious textbook Cab Franc aromas of ripe red fruit, bell pepper, tobacco, and forest floor. On the palate, it starts off smooth and juicy but shows some structure and grip on the finish. Delicious light-weight but substantial red wine, drink with a very slight chill.

Vinification

High-quality negoce wine produced by Gérald Vallée from the organic domaine La Cotelleraie. Cabernet Franc from different parcels on clay, limestone, and silex soils. Average vine age 25 years. Hand-harvest, fermentation, and maceration in concrete tanks for 2 weeks, maturation in old oak barrels of 60 hectolitres for 6 months.
