Vin Muté à l’Armagnac

This wine is made by adding young armagnac to the harvest grape juice in order to proceed to the fortification (“mutage”) and stop any fermentation. The the wine is put together with our ancient “fortified wine reserve” started in 1987 and put in oak casks to go on maturing. We say old wines “educate” the young ones.
