On the palate, the velvety texture brings out the exuberant energetic fruitiness that spreads out widely. Very long finish with melty tannin, it is lucious, sensual and even makes you feel feverish!
27% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Syrah, 22% Garnacha Tinta, 10% Mourvèdre, 8% Cariñena, 8% Cinsault. Hand picked and de-stemmed, gentle extractions. Fermented in barrels and aged for 12months.

Domaine des Creisses is located in the Hérault, between the sea and the mountains in the Languedoc region. The domaine is managed by Philippe Chesnelong with the help of his cousin Louis Mitjavile. Louis Mitjavile is the son of François Mitjavile, who is famous as the owner of Tertre Roteboeuf.
The 20ha estate has variety of soil types. Les Creissess is made from vineyards with poor soil, mainly consisting of gravel and clay limestone. The main grape varieties for Le Creisses are Syrah and Grenache, with a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon blended in depending on the vintage. Les Bruines is blended with 60-80% Cabernet Sauvignon.
In the vineyard they prune their vines exclusively on “old wood”, a Languedocian goblet for old Grenache or Royat pruning for other vines. This provides an optimal arrangement of the leaves to have airy, disease-free, ripe and tasty grapes.
The vineyard is semi-grassed and regular contributions of organic materials. It creates balanced, lively, porous and well draining soils. The healthy soils encourage the vine roots to plunge into the earth, drawing deep and regular water. The domaine is now certified High Environmental Value (HVE).
The Philippe Chesnelong’s goal is to make great Pays d’Oc wines by drawing the fullest potency of the terroir.
