Very rich and gastronomic Chenin, packed with creamy stone fruit, baked apple, spice, herbs, chalky and smokey notes. Veers towards a touch of sweetness mid-palate before it moves into an endlessly chalky and spicy finish. Will develop beautifully for at least ten years after the vintage.
Lise and Bertrand’s single-vineyard masterpiece! From a small, gently sun-exposed of 80-100 years old Chenin Blanc on chalky clay (Aubuis) over limestone soils. Biodynamic farming at very low yields (20 hl/ha). Hand harvest, direct press of whole bunches, natural fermentation in old barriques without additives. Aged for 12 months in old oak barrels and another 12 months in tanks. Bottled with light filtration, no fining, and a touch of added sulfites (20-30 mg/L)
