Nestled in the rolling hills of Saint-Chinian, in the heart of the Languedoc region in southern France, lies Domaine Canet-Valette, a charming family estate founded in 1992 by Marc Valette. Deeply rooted in the soil, the estate is built on a philosophy of living in harmony with nature. From the 2024 harvest, Marc’s son Camille is officially responsible for continuing the estate, combining his father’s traditions with new, creative influences.
The vineyards are located in the village of Cessenon-sur-Orb, surrounded by garrigue and rugged mountains. Here, wind and stone shape the unique character of the wines. At Canet-Valette, wine is not made to follow trends. It is a reflection of the rhythm of the land, its joys and struggles, and an enduring love for the place.
The viticulture is entirely organic, without artificial fertilizers or herbicides. The team works with the soil, not against it, preserving its vitality and allowing the vines to fully express their natural identity. This careful approach gives complexity and depth to each grape, and ultimately to each bottle.
In the cellar, the approach remains gentle and respectful. Wild yeasts, minimal intervention, and long aging define their style, allowing each cuvée to mature elegantly. Signature wines like “Une et Mille Nuits” and “Maghani” display aromatic richness and refined textures, true expressions of the Mediterranean sun and soil.
Each glass invites you to the warmth of southern France, the scent of wild herbs in the breeze, the rocky earth beneath your feet, and the quiet power of tradition passionately perpetuated. Each bottle is a love letter to the wild beauty and generous soul of the Languedoc.
